Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort Update

posted in: Featured | 0

Thank you for your generous donation of supplies and finances to support and bless the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Our work continues.

We will leave the offering plates out for offerings to the Texas District LCMS Disaster Response fund for one more week: one hundred percent of donations go directly to relief work. If you prefer to make a donation on-line, please consider doing so through www.thrivent.com, as they will match your donation dollar for dollar, and designate your gift either to LCMS Disaster Response or Orphan Grain Train.

In addition, we are accepting the following donations to go to Rockport and Cuero this week on the labeled tables by the screen in Room B-116 (please keep in mind there is a Bible study in that room on Sunday mornings) through 5:00 p.m. Monday, September 11:

– Baby Food

– Batteries (all sizes)

– laundry detergent

– Bar Soap & other toiletries

– Tarps

– Tools, utility knives and work glovesĀ (Sawzalls particularly needed)

– NEW underwear (all ages)

– heavy duty trash bags (Contractor Bag)

– dust/ cleaning masks (disposable)

– bleach, cleaning supplies

– Gift cards (Walmart, HEB, Home Depot, Visa)

If you would like your name on a database of people interested in going to serve on the ground when opportunities arise, please fill out https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexeXkSLK_Iq_fnD300sr1RpOZTY6pmM3L8NrdSVYewKVx21Q/viewform.

We also pray that Hurricane Irma would head out to sea and dissipate and cause no more damage.
