“Confirmation” is our junior high ministry for 7th-8th grade students. This is a period in student’s lives when they “confirm,” think through for themselves, the meaning of being a baptized child of God. It is a primary time in their lives when they step up and make a commitment to the baptismal promises that were made on their behalf.
On the surface that may sound really boring. However, confirmation is anything but boring. This is a really fun ministry that helps young men and women deeply understand the commitment Jesus has made to them, and make a commitment in response to a lifetime of following Christ as His disciple.
We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:50-10:50 a.m. in the Activity Center, and from 12:15-2:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.
What we do
Over the course of two years, we study the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Six Chief parts of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.
We eat lunch together, connect, share our lives with each other, play games, hear stories, and discuss ideas as well as explore our faith together, pray together and for one another, find application to life in weekly small groups, and have fun.
