“Jesus loves you, and so do I!”  Just 9 more days to turn in your Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes.  CLICK HERE to hear the testimony of Yuri (pictured right) who lived in 14 different orphanages and how the note from another little girl changed her life by helping her trust in the Lord.

To build your own, amazing shoe box for a child in need,  CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF ITEMS RECOMMENDED FOR EACH AGE GROUP. If you don’t have a shoe box, put everything in a plastic bag, and we will provide boxes. All filled shoeboxes (or bags) need to be turned in by November 14.

Encourage your child to help share the Good News of Christmas and experience it for themselves!

What kind of part would your child like to play?

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David

What fun things happened at Faith Lutheran Preschool in October?
We had a fire safety week, which included a visit from Engine 5.  The firemen showed us uniforms and let us see inside the fire truck. We have been learning about our five senses, Fall, and camping.   In chapel, we learned the story of Moses from when he was a baby, to listening to God, to saving God’s people, and to receiving the Ten Commandments.  In November we will be exploring things related to Fall fruit, Autumn, Thanksgiving, the Gingerbread Man, being thankful, and hearing the stories of Ruth and David.
We also decorated pumpkins like a favorite book character and played games at the FLP Fall Festival!

LIFE THOUGHTS FOR LUTHERANS

November 7- Pentecost XXIV (Proper 27B)
– We need neither trust in princes nor fear public opinion (Psalm 146:3-4), as all these things operate and end under our Heavenly Father’s authority. When we cannot care for a child or keep ourselves alive (1 Kings 17:12), we don’t have to surrender to pressures, politics, verdicts, or laws. Instead, we entrust ourselves to Him whose abundance even our afflictions cannot exhaust (1 Kings 17:14-16)—and we invite our neighbors to do the same.
