DRIVE THROUGH COMMUNION

BY FAITH CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

PLEDGES DUE NOVEMBER 21

The goal for the By Faith Capital Campaign is ZERO, meaning fully paying off the remaining $1.1M debt.   Doing so will save Faith more than $116,700 for investment in ministry operations, building blocks for future growth, or other growth-minded initiatives.  By Faith, we believe that we can pay off this remaining debt and use the resources to continue and increase the Kingdom-building opportunities that God places before us.
We ask that your gift be prayerful and cheerful.  Do not give out of obligation, rather a joyful response to our Loving God who daily blesses us.  You should have received a pledge form in the mail; please bring that and include it in the offering on November 21st

to give online, or to set up recurring gifts.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE
2022 LCMS YOUTH GATHERING
IN HOUSTON, JULY 9-13

“In All Things,” the 2022 LCMS Youth Gathering will bring over 1000 loving, energetic, flexible, and faithful volunteers to Houston, TX. The Volunteer team is composed of folks from all over the USA, of all ages, gifts and abilities.

We would love for YOU to serve a few hours or the entirety of the Gathering as a Young Adult Volunteer (ages 19-25) or an Adult Volunteer  (25 and older).

Young adult (ages 19-25) volunteer application deadline is Dec. 31.

Team Flex (ages 25+) applications close April 30, 2022.

Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.

The Gathering is more than the five days of the event. The preparation process for the Gathering brings together young people and supportive adults to encourage each other in their baptismal identity. The Gathering provides young people a vision for the vastness of Christ’s Church and equips them for vocational service as they continue their walk with Jesus.

LIFE THOUGHTS FOR LUTHERANS

November 14 -Last Sunday after Pentecost (Proper 29B)
– The sanctity of every human life involves far more than personal choices or political issues. We have the chance to snatch sisters and brothers from destruction (Jude 23) in the epic battle between good and evil. And the Lord’s Words do not require our anger to prevail (Psalm 93:4), so let us engage every neighbor with mercy to untangle their confusion (Jude 22). Receive them as gifts and treat them as privileges just like our Father treasures us.
