Austin Angerman, Director of Christian Outreach and Youth Ministry / aangerman@flcms.org

Austin Angerman was born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, April 17th, 1996 to Debbie and Ray Angerman. He was baptized into the death of Jesus four weeks later on May 19th, 1996 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Shalimar, Florida, and through that baptism has been living a new life in Christ each and every day since. Good Shepherd Lutheran was his church home during the first 18 years of his life, where has was publicly Confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 1st, 2011. During the Rite of Confirmation he was assigned a Bible passage based upon his testimony of faith, and received John 8:32 which reads: “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

The pursuit of Biblical truth and the teachings of Jesus have been near to Austin’s heart ever since, and led him to study Religious Education and Music at Concordia University Austin, TX in the fall of 2014. He graduated in the fall of 2018 and began his Director of Christian Education internship at Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown, Texas. In the spring of 2022, Austin accepted a divine call issued by the congregation of Faith Lutheran to continue serving in the role of Director of Outreach and Youth Ministries.
