On Tuesday, October 5, 2021 we held the third and final devotional service of 2021 titled “Let Us Rejoice!;” and based on Psalm 118:24, “This is the Day the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Thanksgiving & Praise, July 7, 2021

A time for rejoicing in Jesus Christ

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 our senior adult community at Faith Lutheran Church gathered for a devotional service titled, “Thanksgiving & Praise!” The service included a devotional message by Pastor Don Kasper, titled “The Awesomeness of God’s Creation.” We enjoyed the musical talents of McCaryn Gaty, who blessed us with artistic renditions of movements from J. S. Bach’s Cello Suites in G and C Major; Joyce Best, who accompanied hymn singing; Austin Angerman, whose harp tones added warmth and depth to our praises, and Janine Alford, who joyfully lead hymn singing and read Psalm 148. The gathering was a blessed time of rejoicing and renewal through the Word, teaching, music, and reflection. These devotional services will continue as regular quarterly offerings at Faith Lutheran Church. Faith Lutheran Church is blessed to have a large community of senior adults, many of whom are active in one or more ministries, and serve faithfully as board chairs and members across the gamut, including Trustees and Elders, New Member Assimilation, Fellowship, Community Outreach, and the Board of Human Care. Faith Senior Ministries (FSM) is the name for our emerging umbrella ministry program designed specifically to meet the needs of senior adult (55+) at each stage of advancing life.
