Hiring A/V Assistant for Faith Lutheran Church Pay: $15/hour Sundays and occasional weekdays

Please note that we ONLY have someone to run the slides for worship for six more weeks. We really need to fill this position soon!  Please pass this posting along to someone you know…or post it at work… or post at your community bulletin board.  Could YOU be the one we are seeking?

The Faith IT Board needs your help!

IT savvy? Do you like to work with computers?  The Faith IT Board needs your help!  The IT Board’s responsibility is to take care of the Church’s IT needs, which includes (but is not limited to) purchasing and repairing (when possible) all electronic equipment. Keeping up the internal network and phones and securing printer/copier contracts.  Please contact the church office for more information, 512-863-7332.

Life Thoughts from Lutherans for Life

July 11 – Pentecost VII (Proper 10B) – Was John’s Gospel proclamation about Herod’s marriage a political issue (Mark 6:18)? Or was it the Word of the Lord warning a neighbor against danger and pledging a better way? We may feel like neither prophets nor prophets’ sons (Amos 7:14-15), but we have heard the Word of truth and the Gospel of everyone’s salvation (Ephesians 1:13). However politicized or unpopular the sanctity of life becomes, we have been predestined to proclaim and celebrate it. (Ephesians 1:11-12).

Bags to Mats Update

We are taking a break from collecting bags until the end of the Summer.  This is good news because that means we have more than enough bags for what we need.  Our stores are overflowing!  Thank you to everyone for helping us with this blessing for the homeless.  Our next meeting is Friday, July 16 at 10:00 a.m.
