Confirmation Begins Sunday, August 29th! 1:00pm—2:30pm

Calling all 7th and 8th grade students!
Confirmation is starting up again for the fall.
If you would like to register your 7th or 8th grade student for Confirmation class at Faith Lutheran, or if you have any questions, please contact Austin Angerman at the church office.

The Georgetown officials are: Josh Schroeder, Mayor Wayne Nero, Chief of the Georgetown Police Department John Sullivan, Chief of the Georgetown Fire Department Eric Johnson, Director of Public Works

The Williamson County officials are:

• Mike Gleason, Williamson County Sheriff
• Mike Knipstein, Director of Williamson County Emergency Medical Services
• Michael Shoe, Director of Williamson County Emergency Management
• Hank Jones, Williamson County Fire Marshal

We give thanks to God for all public servants and ask Him to bless their labors.  “Good government” is included in the “daily bread” we ask God to provide when we pray, “Give us this day our daily bread.”

Please take a moment before or after worship to tie knots in these quilts and lift these officials before God in prayer.  The quilts, which were crafted by members of Faith, will remain in the church lobby until Sunday, September 5.

Compass Groups

At Faith Lutheran Church, our small group ministry is called “Compass Groups.”  If you are interested in joining a Compass Group for fellowship and bible study, please fill out the form HERE.

Join us for a Women’s Retreat
hosted by Joy Mission Circle
and Helping Hands
on August 21st

The program is “Grace-Full Women” and will include devotions, Bible study, skit, quilt making, and lunch provided by your hosts. We will start at 9 a.m. and hope to be done by 12:30 p.m. 

RSVP for the event by contacting Joanna Roche, or by signing up at the ministry center in the Narthex. The retreat is open to all women at Faith, their friends, and neighbors. Please let us know by August 18th so we can have sufficient materials and food. 

FAITH LUTHERAN PRESCHOOL NOW HIRING

ADVANCED PRE-K AND TODDLER TEACHER

• Must be 18 years or older

• Pass background check

• Have or get CPR/First Aid

 

Experience is a plus not required-we will train the right candidates.

Back-to-School Tailgate
This Sunday, August 15th
5:00-8:00 p.m. 

High school students, middle school students, and their families are welcome to come out to the church parking lot and enjoy the last weekend before school starts. Come by anytime between 5pm to 8pm for free hamburgers and hotdogs off the grill, as well as cold drinks on ice.

Bring a lawn chair and some outdoor games to play, we will have a few extras set-up in advance (including the critically-acclaimed “Yard Scrabble”). This is also a great opportunity to bring a friend, the more the merrier!  An RSVP is not required but is helpful in estimating how much food to prepare. Let Austin know if you have any questions, and we hope to see you Sunday!  Also, we will be collecting school supplies for the drive mentioned below.

The Faith IT Board needs your help!

IT savvy? Do you like to work with computers?  The Faith IT Board needs your help!  The IT Board’s responsibility is to take care of the Church’s IT needs, which includes (but is not limited to) purchasing and repairing (when possible) all electronic equipment. Keeping up the internal network and phones and securing printer/copier contracts.
